new android 4.2 keyboard

I checked too, it works just fine except the link if you click it with chrome, it worked with metroweb

Sent from my typewriter.

I was able to install this, but it doesn't work right for me. Whenever I hit the delete button, it just closes the keyboard. It's not a force close. It's just as if I exited out of keyboard. Everything else seems to work okay, though.

Keyboard is amazing but i noticed that by end of work day i was down to 15% battery prior to this it was 50% by end of work day and had a lot of reboots with this.

Here is the official release one that is on the Nexus 4. LatinImeGoogle.apk

But to the post above idk how it could use much more battery as mine has been unaffected, maybe you installed an app after the keyboard that is constantly running in the background that is using your battery.

thats what i thought at first but i didnt install anything on the phone after the keyboard, thats why i blamed the keyboard for drain . i switched keyboards and i am at 91% now with a few text messages and updating apps, this is how my battery was before the keyboard.

Try the new one that i posted, if it still drains you battery then it just doesn't play nice with your phone.

I really like it a lot. Its as fast as swype.

The shift/symbol mode is thoughtfully done, more so than any other keyboard ive used. I haven't used smart keyboard pro, though, but I've heard it pretty good. Its a paid app.

Is there any to go back to the original?

wont be too long before someone makes an app in the market for this :D i wish i could this new keyboard on my Admire. I think swype is the best and the android keyboard is decent, i just always find myself swyping words whenever i try to use it. plus im used to the layout of swype but id love to try this out. unfortunately 4.0 apps dont work on lower android version :( only a matter of time though lol

I was able to get this to work properly, but I'm not digging it too much. It feels like an alpha version of Swype. I also miss from Swype the ability to long-press for punctuations and symbols. This keyboard requires you to hit another button to bring up punctuations and symbols. That's such a hassle.

i just seen like 4 different 4.2 JB keyboards on the play store,I don"t care for swipe and the motion one is not as user frendly like the samsung GB one.
plus i miss the black keys.

Ignore previous request. I found out how to DL, Install and Enable the Android keyboard.

Still learning the ICS OS after using the iOS for 4 years...

I find this keyboard to be much easier to use than any of the other keyboards I have tried as I constantly make errors with the other KB's I have used.

I wish this had color choices, but it will do for now.
