New Android Market 3.4.4

I'm having a small issue, sometimes i mean sometimes when my phone is in sleep mode & i go to on the market, it is showing the old mean old market, i closed it 2 or 3X's than it goes back to the current market. i grabed the 3.4.4 moved it to the Root Expl. & downloaded it. it shows the update but when i reboot or in sleep mode i see the old green & white market YUK!!! did i do something wrong?

Wipe the data and all that. That old green ugly market actually comes stock on the phone. When they activate your phone for the first couple minues or whatever till it updates is the old green market.

to wipe data and caches, you go Settings > application > manage application > Market . then you will have options to wipe data as well as clear caches and all those stuff.

and another thing. when you download Market 3.4.4 into your phone, you only have to open it with Astro and install it, you necessarily don't have to move it.

Settings>applications>manage apps then select the market and hit clear data also if you have one run a cache cleaner. I like History Eraser Pro or 1-Click Clear

sorry for the total noob question, but do i download this on my pc, put onto the sd card in the tablet (somewhere?), and click on the file and it should install over the old market?
or can i do from the tablet. its not rooted.

Check in your settings>applications>manage applications and find the market and click it. You should have already got the update. And to answer your question you can do it either way. Once you download it find it on your sd card in and press it and hit install.
