New Android user entirely

Hello,

I just recently bought a Samsung Epic, which is not only my first Android device but my first smartphone ever, and so far I love it. I would honestly say it's one of the best financial investments I have ever made in my life and after less than a month of owning it I'm finding myself wondering how I ever got on without a smartphone.

I like tech stuff but I'm not particularly well versed, and I joined these forums in hopes of going from a total n00blord to a power user.

I want to know how to turn off the scrolling messages on the top of my screen..dont need to see the message. just notify me that i have a message

Welcome, yes AF is a good place to get you started in Android community. Wait until you get through the honeymoon and then learn about root, and then learn about Roms... and if your interested you can write your own apps. The excitement of this technology never ends!
