Help New Android user looking for help.

Hey folks,
I've just ordered my first smartphone/ Android phone, the HTC Sensation 4g, I am a bit nervous about it because I don't want to mess it up within the first few weeks with bloated apps and unnecessary things. I have already ordered a Ghost Armour screen protector for it and have a few apps that I know that are good. However I was hoping that I could get some help with a few things:

1 What are essential apps that you recommend?

2. Can you buy apps on your DC and transfer them?

3. A link to a guide to the Android market?

4. What case brands would you recommend for my phone?

All help is much appreciated and I look forward to being on here a lot more.:)

Welcome to the android forums :)

Essential apps are a matter of choice
But you can look at the Best app list and decide what you want
http://androidforums.com/android-applications/335976-best-category-app-thread-list.html

Also a comprehensive list of must-have apps with descriptions
http://androidforums.com/android-ap...-android-apps-100-best-apps-descriptions.html

This is the link to the PC market

You can buy apps on PC if thats what you mean (DC ?). But you will need data connection on phone to install app. :)

I dont have much knowledge about cases .sorry
But do check the accessories and Sensation 4G Forums

welcome here, and it looks like all your other questions were pretty much answered to talk about the cases, i myself prefer "seido" brand cases I used one on my Incredible and absolutely loved it, I currently have the Thunderbolt and im just waiting for the case to be shipped to me now. The only thing i would like to chime in on, is if you are a huge music guy like me and have your music on Itunes(yes thats the only thing apple i own, i dont even have a ipod i just prefer itunes) then i recommend Audiogalaxy the best music player ive ever used for streaming my itunes playlist on my phone

Thank you for all the help, with a bit more digging I did find answers to most of my questions along with the help y'all provided. I'm still a bit up in the air about the case. I'm looking at the Seidio case, a Case-Mate Pop case, and an Otterbox case as the three I am heavily comparing now, any advice is appreciated.
I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition though. :D

Thanks again for all the help.
