Help New Android Version--AOL Authentication Error

I downloaded the newest Android version, 4.5.596.

I also have two different AOL email accounts. One is working fine, the other one is not due to an "authentication error". Why could just one account be working and the other not?

Anybody shed some light on this? Thanks.

I have solved this problem on my own and am sharing the results for the next person. I deleted the AOL account with the error message THEN pulled the battery and then readded the AOL account. Now the account is functioning normally again.

Just out of curiosity, why are multicolored fonts in large sizes required to get the point across?

:D

This worked PERFECT for me. :) Good thing cause I had this problem 2+ weeks ago when I was away on vacation (I live in NY but was in FL) and the guy on the phone at Verizon told me I had to do a factory reset. I just dealt with the problem while away & I didn't want to risk my Droid X (GB 4.5.596) not working after a factory reset.

When I got back to NY the problem disappeared (cause I'm back in my "home area"?), then 2-3 days ago it resurfaced & I was not able to send email. Just as simple as you said it, remove account, pull battery, re-install the account. Don't know if it helped, but I waited 5 minutes before turning phone on. THANKS AGAIN!! :D

Perhaps this can help others also using AOL.
