Hey guys! Thanks for viewing my thread. I am new to SE world; used to iphones and now changed to SE.
I have few questions and would appreciate a lot if someone be able to help.

Recently I bought a x10 mini from him and extremely confused if it's a mini pro, or just mini. Any idea how to tell the differences?

Second question is, since I bought a used phone, are there anything I should do first? because I would like to use it like a new phone. Please let me know the pro and cons

Third question is I am currently living in US using T-mobile, what data plan would allow me to access the phone like a internet phone? Not a big fan of wifi on phones.

yeah i am fairly new to my handset too, im using the mini pro at the moment and found out that it takes a while to get a lil bit used to.

i've played around with it and made some minor changes by using some apps from the droid market. but i havent gone to rooting it up since im scared to mess up the software on it.

and yes your mobile should work with any data plan that your provider, all you need is the APN's or settings on your mobile.

in addition, the battery really drains fast ... hth

Yea, same situation. I did some research and saw that if you do the factory reset option, your phone can be bricked.

Weird because I had data plan with internet service, unlimited talk/text and I have no idea how to get on the internet other than using wifi... Phones are alot more complicated than computers... At least if it's a IT issue, i can fix it.

the APN's on you handset can be set up easily however the settings would come from your network provider. you can try calling the tech support from you carrier or ask them to send the APN's directly thru your handset as SMS.

i used to work for a carrier with AU before and usually the manuals for the handset are found online and even on gsmarena.. unfortunately i havent made any settings for my mobile since the carrier i am waiting for hasnt got back to me yet.. hth
