Root new bootanimation blank screen...

Maybe somebody out there can help me on this one.
I rooted my fone, using GB_Sense_3.0i v 10, installed Dark rain boot animation from xda....just blank screen where animation should be. Fone works fine otherwise.
I put the bootanimation in its proper folder and renamed the old one.
1. As far as I know the rom supports ext4 which is what the dark rain requires or so it says.
What am I missing???

It should actually be named bootanimation.zip. Just making sure. And there are a few different locations where you can store it, /data/local, /system/customize/resource. Have you tried both? Did the old animation work? And finally, are you sure the zip file contains an animated gif?

Yeah it contains gifs. but the path is not where the developer said it would be. I couldnt find the path but after hunting around I found the ATT bootanimation and renamed it and then put the new one in. Only thing I could find is that the ATT is password protected on the artwork for some reason.
