New Brand seeking input

My name is Paul and I represent a new upcoming brand.
I have a new Car Audio brand that is set for release in the upcoming New Year.
I have seen way too many iPads installed in the dash of many show quality builds. As a fan of the Android device, I searched for an Android tablet for the build in my own show vehicle.
Not finding what I was looking for, I decided to contact a few reputable manufacturers to develop an ideal tablet for my needs.
The tablet is centered around the idea that it will be used in Car Audio builds world wide. A marine version is also in the works.
We have a general idea of what we want and need but there are some that may use this tablet outside of its original target use.
I come to you because while Car Audio is my area of expertise, this is not exactly my thing.

What does your public want? Perhaps they want an iPad for any number of reasons. Can you provide links to some of your work? I never judge such work or the people doing it until I can see examples.

Will the install be in-dash? What do you mean when you say, " some that may use this tablet outside of its original target use."

I have already designed the tablet with the help of the manufacturer that I chose. It does revolve around the idea that it will be installed in a dash. But it is still a tablet and does not have to be used in this manor. However because of its original intent there is no rear facing camera and the audio jack has a 2volt output as apposed to a 0.2volt output. I will supply pics as soon as the working prototype is in my hands.
My questions were, what are some great features that I can employ to make this new product catch on?
Or in other words, what do you recommend?
It is a 9.7" piece
Android 4.0 with a future Jellybean update.
1.5ghz dual core processor
1080p with HDMI output
Front facing 2mp camera
Micro USB input
Bluetooth
Micro SDHC card slot
etc.
What would you change or add?
Target price is $299 MSRP

I presume the manufacturer you're developing your product with is in Shenzhen, China? They usually are. So you're doing a tablet product that's primarily designed for automotive use, but can be used outside of a vehicle. I'm not aware of such a product already.

AFAICT the Chinese are well developed in using Android for factory-fitted and after-market ICE systems, radio, music, videos, sat-nav, etc. But not internet so far from what I've seen.

The manufacturer I chose is in fact Chinese. I chose them over a South Korean manufacturer because of the reputation they had.
