Root New BrokenOs Build

I had to flash my Synthetic back up....
With no tweaks or switcher magic at all after a clean re-flash my phone started rebooting when someone would call....
Just reboot.. No ringtone... No phone app..
I could call out...
Removed all layers...
... Had a similar issue with a cm theme.. Still the same story...
Yes.. It's funny.. It's never happened to anyone...
I'm the lucky guy.....:)

I've read incompatible layers can cause bootloops. do you remember which layer it was? I'll try it.

Material Glass worked great for me, but pitch black and neon red caused some Google Apps to crash and wasn't complete. Diablo, didnt theme everything. Yes you have to be careful with layers, but I have even mixed a couple and I have had no bootloops. Material Glass is excellent. I have material glass and Diablo mixed right now and gmail crashes, so I used another email app to replace it.

Anyone having a low battery life? Since I switched to the updated Broken, my battery only lasts about 8 hours. It used to last the entire day.

Yea, my battery life is pretty good. Like guy said above ya, look at what is consuming the battery and go from there. Each app has a percentage beside it in battery settings.

Please don't post links to the rom without the dev's permission...it's just common courtesy;)

/last post removed and if you have any questions, just tick my avatar to chat with me, thanks.

Then let me ask the obvious question. How the hell can we download a ROM without the link? Because if they don't want the link posted to the ROM then what's the point of making a thread about said ROM?

It's easy to get mad about not being spoon-fed a link, but it's also not hard to actually look for it. And it's easy to find, but hey, complaining is easier.

Because we have a community on Google Plus. That is where we want our links. I shared an app and a recovery here. I'm not saying you can't download the rom or become a member of our community. I'm saying I don't want the links posted in forms unless they are by me.

If you can root your phone , you can find the rom.

People tend to take the easy path, when all it takes is a bit of research. Come on, if you can flash a ROM you most likely already know how things are done, and how to look for stuff. If something gets posted everywhere and away from the Dev's eye, bricked phones will happen, support won't be as efficient and so on...so all respect is due to the Devs and if they say no links,so be it.

Quick question about the latest version of BrokenOS (April 25 2016), when I use the built in version of broken switcher I can't access the system folder. What am I doing wrong?

FINALLY! A Custom ROM that WORKS on my phone! I've tried other Lollipop ROMs and the CM 13 Beta... and no matter what, I had to use Xposed to get my screen to work during calls. But it would work for a second, and then after a reboot, no sound. So, back to stock I went. But on this 6.0.1 ROM, Xposed works the way it should and calls do, too! It seems that the radio is boosted, too. I live in a high rise in a really dense area, and the signal is usually sub-par. But with this ROM, it seems WAY STRONGER!

Just, one quick question.

Is there any way we can get 1080p Video Recording and 16:9 8MP Photos?

Thanks for all the hard work! And thanks for getting me off Stock KitKat!

No, you need a sensor capable of 1080. The ZMax has a sensor only capable of 720

The 1080p video recording has already been addressed I see so I'll address your other question. No you can't get 16:9 pictures that are 8mp because this phone only has an 8mp sensor. The sensor captures 4:3 images and if you select 16:9 then it crops the picture to give it that shape. 16:9 pictures will always have a lower resolution than 4:3.

I understand the 8 MP thing when using AOSP. But the Zmax DOES have a 1080p Sensor. I have 1080p Video Recording on stock 4.4.4. The screen itself is only 720p. But the sensor is capable of 1080p.

But, I just ran into something else. I wasn't receiving calls again. I can make them, but I'm not receiving any. After a little investigation, I found that if I switch the APN to Tmobile, of course the phone will only get H and H+ signal, but not LTE, and I can receive calls. But, back on MetroPCS APN, when LTE kicks over, it won't let me receive calls.

So, basically, I'm not able receive calls if I'm on LTE. Help?

Custom rom doesn't have volte so when you make a call it kicks over to H. After the call you have to wait until LTE comes back on or toggle it

I understand that. I'm saying that it's not kicking over like it should. It should receive the call and kick over to HSPA... but it's not. Just stays on LTE and acts like a call isn't even coming in.

::Edit:: I don't need to flash the old B06 modem, do I?
