Help New desire, sync w mac using ical - HELP!!!

Lurker
Hi - just bought HTC desire from Alltel. I am having great difficulty syncing my iCal with the phone. Events just aren't updating from iCal to phone. Phone isn't rooted, although I am tempted to bury it in the backyard :D Used the CalDAV feature to attempt this feat.

Things to know: I have operating system 10.6.6. I MUST use iCal due to work requirements. I have a meeting calendar on my iCal that is under my name, and another calendar that's a home events calendar that's listed under the calendar list on my mac. Both those calendars have to stay under separate listing categories on iCal, due to calendar sharing requirements.

My home calendar shows up under my google account on my iCal, but won't update to my phone. My meeting calendar won't show up at all. I can't make my work calendar public, due to confidentiality issues.

So....am I screwed? Should I return the HTC and keep my blackberry, which offered a syncing program that worked with contacts and calendar seamlessly?

Thanks in advance for any help - let me know what information you need to help me!

No:) Take a look at SyncMate - it will sync your Mac and Android easily!

With Expert Edition you can sync images, music, videos, folders, bookmarks between Mac and Android directly. You can manage SMS on Mac (create, send, delete, export) and mount Android device as a Mac Disk.

Moreover, SyncMate allows you syncing numerous devices within one app (Windows Mobile and Nokia S40 phones, other Mac and PC computers, Google accounts, USB flash drives, Sony PSP, Online storage).
