Help New Droid user looking for sleep

Skymrnlit

Newbie
I am an ex BB user who just bought their first HTC Incredible 2... I am slowly learning the droid OS... but there is one thing I can't find/figure out that my blackberry did that I would LOVE to find on my Incredible 2.

When I would plug my BB on the charger at night, it would go to phone calls only, no texts or e-mail notifications... I have yet to find something to the same on the droid.

I downloaded "bedside buddies" and set it up correctly, yet e-mails coming in at 4 am woke me up (not really worried about turning off texts, just e-mail notifications)... I know I could turn off the sync.. but I'm spoiled and would like the ease of putting it on the charger and it going to phone calls only... since i've been doing that for years.. :) Help?

p.s., syncing my Mac iCal and google cal(thus droid) was not fun... lol

OH, one more thing, anyone have a easy password keeper that syncs with Macs?? Tried a few of those too..

I use a program called Timerrific. It's great. You can set up a very specific schedule of what turns on and off multiple times a day.

For example I have my notifications mute at 11pm and ringer go down to the lowest setting. At 8am everything comes back up to a moderate level. At 5pm I have my notification volumes rise up to 50% so I can hear them in the car on my way home from work.

You can also toggle wifi, bluetooth, airplane mode, etc. I love it and it sound like it may be what you are looking for.

Thank you very much... getting it now... what about a password keeper to sync with my mac OR just drop box(if I have to) that is easy to use and FREE???

This part of your question i'm not so sure about. Take a stroll through the android market... i'm sure something has been made that fits what you are looking for.

Dropbox is very easy to use and is free. I use it all the time. Give it a spin.

I wonder if this app interferes with or overrides HTC Sense features, like the louder ringing in your pocket, or flip to silence. I really hope not. These little touches are what make Sense great IMO

Got the timeffiric and it works... taking some playing with, but slowly working out how. Like it so far... Just stumbling on things here and there being new to this OS
Thanks again.. LOL I WILL have more questions.. your help is very much appreciated!

Well being that this entire forum is dedicated to Android I would say just about any place is good. I do suppose it depends on what kind of information you are after. There's specific sub-forums dedicated to Android subject matter that depending on your question would be an appropriate place to ask.

If you're not sure where to ask, then start your thread here and just put in a line for the forum moderator to move your thread to the appropriate sub-forum.
