New Droid X Purchasers: Beware of the Pull Tab! (voids warranty?)

I did a quick skim in the thread so i hope i am not repeating something someone already said

I had to do factory reset on my X(well actually the X reset itself)
and when it came back on of course it was at factory settings

Well there is a tips and tricks widget that tells you bout the phone and it actually said to not pull it out

I did the same stupid thing. Just wasn't thinking at the time and ripped it right off. Thought I was pretty smart about these sorts of things. What I am thinking of doing is going to Verizon and telling them the sucker ripped off when I pulled out the battery. Possible, right? Think I might be able to get a free exchange that way? So stupid since it comes with that little tiny booklet telling you what to do, but obvious warning not to actually remove the stupid little tab

So this is what I just read about the warranty issue with the pull tab. Hopefully this is true. I am still considering returning it so I can have the pull tab back, though. I feel like a total moron

Removing the Droid X pull tab will not void the warranty
