ok so i just got me an epic after coming from a evo , not that i didnt like the evo its a great phone but i like the screen and camera on the epic better. anyways i've been playing my epic and i like the stock rom on it i just have a few problems with it , first- the time it takes to rotate to and from lanscape mode some times i have to tap it to make it rotate , second-it is a bit laggy ,third-the damm keyboard. now i know people are gonna say why did you buy the epic if you didnt want the keyboard and i say look at the beginning of the story ... anyway if sombody knows where i can get a case that stops the keyboard from slideng open please let me know , also i am on 2.2.1 ec05 and rooted but i really dont want to flash a different rom i just want to fix this one
thanks for listening

any replys would be appreciated

There's no one piece case yet, unless I've missed it.

To fix the lag on screen rotation, go to Menu > Settings > Display > Horizontal Calibration. Now, set the phone face down on a nice, flat, level surface, but leave just enough sticking out to be able to reach under there and press the "calibrate" button.

What cwm do you have 2.5 or 3.0? If you reroot with 3.0 that will help reduce lag. Also here is another fix if the one by forddna doesnt work, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=926098.

are you within your 30 days? if you're not into the slider, then might want to wait for the galaxy 2...if you can wait.

I was also considering going from my EVO to an EPIC, mostly because I want a physical keyboard and the screen on the EPIC looks flawless. Sorry for thread robbing, but is it a good idea to go for the EPIC now? Or should I wait for some Galaxy phone next year?

If you think you can wait and want to spend the $500; go for the galaxy II.

Epic is pretty cheap now. Go for it. But you can preorder Evo 3D at Best Buy so it's right around the corner! Then Nexus S. Then Galaxy S 2...who knows..
