I've just received this phone a couple days ago and so far nothing but headache. It's a really nice phone but seriously how slow is this 4G? I'm well within their advertise 4G area but kept seeing the 1x and no internet connection message. GPS is pretty cool too. When I'm using the map I kept seeing myself jumping from place to another on the screen. Didn't know this thing had a teleportation function in it.... I'm in desperate need of help from ya'll guru's to make this better. I actually bought this thing from the Metro PCS Store so that's a chunk of change. Thanks in advance guys.

Well the GPS thing was bothering me and I was thinking maybe there's some kind of update that could fix the problem. I went to the LG website and was messing around and download their LG update thing and did the update hoping it would help. Hmmm well at least it's down gradable. From what I'm reading it looks like it's pretty hard to do?

BTW blaxican25 i did the *225 thing and so far the 4g is on and haven't change. Thanks you

Ah, that GPS issue... I think I may know what the problem is.

Go to Menu>Settings>Location & Security. When you select "Location on" under "GPS Privacy Setting" and agree to Google's Location Consent, your phone may not be using satellites. If you want it to show your position with any real accuracy you must make sure "use GPS satellites" is selected too.

The wireless networks setting allows your apps to show you your location (i.e.- on a map) but it only uses wireless services to try and triangulate your position. Depending on your actual location in regards to the towers, that may or may not be very accurate... at my home, it's WAY off. lol
That "Teleportation function" is your phone trying to get a fix on your position based on local towers - not satellites. ;)

"Wireless network" location accuracy= generally within a few blocks.
"GPS satellite" location accuracy=generally within a few yards.
But- GPS is only accurate if it can get signals from several satellites at a time... which generally means it doesn't work very well indoors.

Hope this solves the Teleportation problem. lol

ps... I keep GPS on mine turned off if/when I'm not using it, as it's a real battery hog.

Finally got it back to ZVB (BIG thanks to gbiggie) now I'm ready to ROOT!!!!

Anniedroid what if both my wireless and gps sat is turned on and it jumps like that? Does this phone have a gps reset/recalibrate?

I don't know what to tell you if it's still doing that... maybe one of the big guns here can tell you if it can be reset. Go to the market and download 'GPS Status'... that will tell you if it is getting a sat lock. If so, and it's still doing that transporter thing, I'd take it back and tell Scotty you want a new one.
