Help New Evo - tips for copy/paste?

Hello all. Just bought my Evo last weekend with my yearly upgrade. I could have upgraded last July but felt I hadn't used my money's worth from the Blackberry Curve 8330. I'm loving this phone. I try to learn something new about it daily as I get time. Right now, I am trying to master copying and pasting. It seems it is different for whatever app you are in. Any tips for this?

The main thing with most apps is to simply long-press on the text in question - helpful little markers appear, along with a dialog to let you copy or share or so forth.
