Not a single reboot since firmware update. But a couple days before the update I installed Wake Lock and did not get a reboot since the install either. I think I am clean for about a week now.
BUT. Now I am getting a TON of force closes on lots of apps including the Play Store. I am also now having some random battery drains too. Usually it's a 5%ish drain overnight with nothing running, and sometimes It can be down 30-40%.
My TF101 is now completely stable after the last firmware update. Google Maps continues to crash, but I can probably live with that as long as it doesn't happen on my Bionic. With respect to icons blanking on the home screen, that riddle was solved a few weeks ago (search for my posts on that). In brief, you have one or more apps running in the background that are incompatible with ICS. In my case, it was Beautiful Widgets. When I uninstalled that app and switched to Fancy Widgets, the home screen problem went away and never returned.
Hope this helps!
I uninstalled and reinstalled Google Maps this morning. No bueno, it still crashes when I press the location button.
There is definitely something up with Google Maps.
Do you use Latitude on your TF101? Latitude in Google Maps used to drain my DX battery and I haven't used it since.
I think there is something odd going on with GMaps.NoI think there is something odd going on with GMaps.
Curious: why would anyone not use gmaps on their tablet? It's one of the most useful applications available
