OK, so I am a newbie to this android operating system. My tablet came today.

It's info is as follows...

Model Sawee10
Android version 2.2v2.1:#3925
Baseband version: Unknown
Kernal version 2.6.32.9
infotm-sqa@infotm-sqa-desktop#82
Build# FRF85B

It is the Flytouch 2 with the Dual TF card slots...

It seems to me that this is running Android 2.2 is that correct?

Now a few serious questions...

you tube will not work...is that expected?
Pandora will only play for a few seconds and then crashes. It played for a while once when I removed the micros SD card...thought I had solved this one...guess not.
Can I turn off the auto scanning of the SD card?
I also have no choice on the paid apps.

I appreciate any tips and tricks or answers you may be able to provide.

Thanks in advance...I'm sure I will be aasking and responding a lot more now that I have this thing in hand...

All in all, I am pretty darned impressed with this...not bad for $145.00 shipped on eBay. I know it is a "Clone" as some call it, but it is my clone...and I want it to be the best darned clone it can be.

Thanks,

Hi,

As this is a 'sawee' you will be unable to use any of the fine updated firmwares available. These tablets were shipped with 2.1 but it may have been updated although I have heard of unscrupulous people installed an app that makes it look like 2.2 (Fake Me Out Of Here 2.2 (Android)_aXXoLinK)

  • You can download YouTube players.
  • You are unlikely to be able to download paid apps from Market.

Hope this helps...

OK,
I've had the tablet a few days and I am still quite impressed. Some apps are a bit buggy...what software is without some bugs especially as these are third party apps.

I installed the Amazon app and can install purchased apps through the Amazon marketplace.

Pandora works now sometimes. The tablet seems to disconnect from my wireless at points, so I am thinking that is the isue with Pandora.

Youtube works with installing a former version of the Youtube app. Now it plays it perfectly.

New owners should give this thing a few days. You get used to the quirkyness and become comfortable with the different apps. Haven't been able to properly try out the GPS, but it did seem to gather my location from the GPS antenna, so I haven't given up.

Thanks to all for the help.

Brodie

Not sure where to put this bit of information. My tablet, which is sawee 10 had great problems with the wi fi, good on direct cable. I stuck an old pluscom lan adapter in there and heh presto it worked fine with no software. Might be of interest to some out there.

The Sawee10 Superpad III is the worst of the iBex Flytouch3 clones... not sure if you will be able to do much with it..... Try googling "Sawee10 superpad III" if i were you i'd try to return that tablet for a real one ....

If you keep it, you may be able to support it here:

Hi,

That is a little unfair, I have a couple of tablets that fall into the same category and they are perfectly adequate for: network browsing, reading books, watching video, playing games etc. Angry Birds works fine, what more could you ask for?
