New gb leak 9/21/2011

You are absolutely right about completing the root process would save setup time with each new install. It is kinda time consuming to set everything up.
Old habits die hard. I always took the time to reinstall everything when I updated the BB's over the years and I didn't have a lot of the problems that others did. Maybe that doesn't matter as much on Android, but it seemed to make a huge difference back then.

I'm not an easily discouraged leak tester and I haven't gone back to stock yet since I used the Revolutionary tool. :D

you dont really even need to root if you dont want to(although root tools like titanium backup would certainly help you set up new ones faster).

but heres what you could do when you want to test the next leak: install a recovery thru hboot, and make a backup. doesnt matter that the firmware youre backing up is stock and not rooted. then flash the new leak like you normally do. if it sucks, you could go back to a previous version quick and easy by installing the recovery again, then restoring any previous backup.

nothing wrong with what youre doin, just some food for thot. i dint know if you realized this was an option :)

with this leak, i was unable to remove city ID. in fact, city ID didn't ask about the 1.99 fee...
i also got an error message about my SIM card, which i ignored and it went away.

perhaps that is why there was such a quick update to RUU 2.11.605.3
