Check and see if you have the delete button when you highlight an email, without having to hit the menu button

I get Archive, Mark Unread and Move to... as buttons, Delete has been moved to the drop down menu

Same as me, I think PS is using his on Landscape mode, so it makes it wider, when I go to landscape I get one extra label, but not my trash. Plus I am using a different launcher, maybe he is on the stock TW launcher. I am on Apex

OK figured it our, open your Gmail, then hit settings, then go to General Settings, then hit the archive and delete action tab, then check the show Archive and delete, and your good to go ;)

Working fine so far for me, the only thing I don't like it the fact it does not have a delete icon for the emails, you have to hit the menu key to delete the email.

That's weird ... I have a trashbin icon.

Actually, my settings are delete only, I have no use for archiving.

Correct that is a preference, I was just showing the options in the image as I do use the Archive, so in my case I have both now, cheers.

I like it. Desktop? not so much. Seems too cluttered when viewing it on my laptop. Nice that you can swipe to delete now too.

Yep I think they just changed it so you have the choice of deleting or archiving it.

The setting to do that has been there a while as well. But it wasn't a choice when swiping, it either archived or deleted depending on your settings. I think it's still that way.

When I first saw the setting I set it to archive or delete, but it just archived. Then I thought maybe swiping one wah would archive and the other way delete, but it didn't.

I'm only seeing swipe to archive. Where is swipe to delete? I'm not seeing it in the settings.

It is there, settings, ,then general settings then make sure swipe to delete is checked mark
