Help new gmail account

so I have gmail already, use the gmail app and use the market (paid apps too) also.

I have recently changed my email address for a variety of reasons, and am wondering how my paid apps will be supported through this transition? Can i just remove the old gmail account from and add the new one to the phone?

I don't think so...the Market account is tied to your gmail account that you used to buy the apps, so using another account would not be recognized as your account. How would it know you're you?

What you can do is use the old account to login with the phone and Market app so you can get your paid apps still, but disable the automatic sync of that old account and don't use the old account for email or anything else - just account login. Then add a second GMail account with your new email address and sync your email from it.

There may be a way to connect your old and new accounts, but I'm not sure how or if it's possible.
