Help New GN2....wi-fi not connecting

Just got my new GN2 today. Having loads of fun setting it up and figuring it out! There is one problem however thats kind of bugging me.

When I try to connect to my home wifi, the phone doesn't seem to want to play. It recognises that the network is there, and allows me to select it. I enter the password, and it shows that it is "Authenticating". Instead of connecting though, it simply indicates "Saved, Secured". No connection, no wifi icon in the top row.

The phone seemed to connect to the wifi network in the shop that I bought it from earlier today without any problem. Not sure why its causing me problems here at home.

Any suggestions? Is there an obvious setting that I may have set wrongly?

Try this. Not sure if it's the same for all Android devices, but it works for me with my Photon (for whatever reason).

Open
Settings>Wireless&Networks>Wi-fi Settings

Then, press Menu>Advanced

Change the Peer to peer (Ad-hoc) channel to a different number to the one that seems to help connect the wi-fi better.

Realistically, this shouldn't make a difference, but for whatever reason, it worked for my Photon and some other family members' android phones.
 
Hmmm.....the damn thing has just connected, and seems stable. How bizarre. Oh well, guess I'll never know what the problem was!

Sorry 'bout that. I'm stuck on Gingerbread with the Photon, so I haven't really gotten to see the changes on ICS, let alone Jelly Bean, as far as the settings are concerned. Nontheless, I'm glad the issue resolved and you were able to connect.
