whats new on this car dock that isnt on the original?

and where is every1 finding it?

What's weird is I got it off DroidLife's site yesterday and it loaded fine. One odd thing I found was it says it was replacing another, but the only other one I had was Car Dock, and that still shows up. What did this update or replace? Also, I am not rooted so I didn't do any of the stuff mentioned above.

1. Download the file.
2. When it finishes downloading, tap to “Install” it.
3. Once installed, head to home screen with space on it.
4. Hit Menu>Add>Shortcuts>Activities (you need LauncherPro installed).
5. In Activities, scroll down to Car Home and tap on it.
6. Now select “Car Home – com.google.android.carhome.CarHome”.
7. You will now have a shortcut to the app on your homescreen.

Ok so now mine works with the dock, but I cant open it on my own. Since i dont have launcher Pro i cant add it to my homescreen. oh well, as long as it defaults to it on the car dock, or my Phone Weave will open it when it changes to the car dock mode, im cool

I can add it to the home screen as mentioned by 143K, but i'm not able to see it in the app launcher so I can't added to a folder created with folder organizer. Any ideas why I can get it to it using launcher pro activities, but not through my app launcher.

I am not able to access it through any other way other than the shortcut method

If you have LP, add it as a swipe feature to one of your dock icons...that's what I did. I keep forgetting to test it in my car to see if Car Home or Car Dock opens automatically.
