New Google Maps 5.0 update is out!

Still there for me. Search for the business, tap on the location and it brings up a menu with reviews, phone, navigate, etc.

nope, thats an extra step that wasnt needed before.

We could tap on a location and itd popup the name of the business and on the right would be a call button, and on the left there would be a navigate to button. Wish I had a screenshot, but it was a lot more intuitive than tapping through

Gotcha. Coming from a Blackberry, I was used to having to drill down into the details of the listing to get that stuff, so I guess I just never noticed the alternative.

because you had to enable it in Labs settings. I have no idea why that was a labs option, as others have stated before, it should be on by default!

Yeah, that was a nice feature that most people probably didn't even know about.

For those of you w/ the original Moto Droid, is the new Rotate gesture working on the 3D maps for you?

Can't get it to work. Rooted & running UD 2.3.

Love the new features, but VERY DISAPPOINTED that bubble buttons is gone from labs. That was one of my favorite things about it. I sure hope they fix that.

When I go into 3D mode, none of the buildings are in 3D, even in New York. I have an HTC Incredible, what's the problem here?

I tilted, rotated, zoomed in, tried different combinations of layers, and restarted my phone--nothing. My dad is having the same problem on his original Droid.

Are you 2.2 ?

Looks like I got a new "places" app when I updated maps. Seems to serve the same purpose.

Yeah, got the same result in Boston and Las Vegas, on an N1 (2.2.1).
I'm starting to suspect that what they call "3D" is actually that tilting thing (2-finger swipe up or down). Which of course isn't 3D at all.

I am using a N1 and I see the 3D buildings when I zoom up in the main parts of Boston, tilted or not.

CM 6.1, same story. This version has a ton of advantages over the previous one, but it may have needed to stay in the oven a bit longer.

I installed on my HTC Desire. Maps are ok but when I enter in Navigation is Checking Navigation Availability and nothing happens.
The Navigation opened before in 4.6 version even if is not available in my country.

Dou you have any suggestions ?

So, I can't get my screen to rotate manually (D1). Is there a setting I need to change? Has anyone been able to use this feature?
