Help New Google Maps (now w/ Weather)

Hello everyone,

This morning my market updated me to a new Google Maps. The update now includes a weather layer that shows live weather if you are connected to wifi or gps.

I cannot seem to find the section to turn on weather. Has anyone had any luck with this?

WOW i just tried this and it rebooted my phone. ive never had a reboot ever. im upset!

hmm, I didnt have that happen to me, maybe I will attempt a reboot to see if this actually helps me out?

no it doesnt help. they dont have a thing for the weather. i turned on everything and i looked in the labs section. there is nothing.

Maybe it just allows for future developers to allow for weather to be a plugin? That's odd.

It says in the update notes that it has live wallpaper weather.

In order to have the weather, you have to set the Maps live wallpaper as your wallpaper. When you select that as your wallpaper, there is an option to check if you want to show the weather. This is NOT to see weather on the actual Google Maps application when you run it.
