New GS2 user

Ok i have a evo 4g (rooted) with the new CM9. my GF just got the GS2 and i was wondering is it worth it to get it rooted or not. on the evo it was worth it, it made it alot faster and run smoother.
and if its worth it what would be a good ROM for a girl and runs easy a smooth she kinda dumb lol jk

If she is not tech savvy, there is really no need reason to root the device. With the Exynos processor, things run quite smooth even with TouchWiz. However, if you or her ever wanted to experiment, I would give one of Calkulin's Gingerbread (EL29) Roms a go. That was the smoothest experience I had with the handset prior to upgrading to ICS (AOKP).

I think it is always worth rooting, but I only root family member's phones as I don't want too many people blaming me if they screw something up after it is rooted.

I recommend CM9 Alpha 4. I am running it and haven't had any problems. Everything is running smooth and great
