Root New, help!!?

I finally just rooted my lg esteem and now im just like, what do i dooo?
ive seen people change everything in the notification bar, battery, service, colors. i wanna do that but i don't know how.
and also, do you download the stuff on your phone or on your computer to do root-able things?
im confused and i don't want this root to be boring.

Now that you have root you should try out some roms I recommend #2
I'm on version 2.4 and it runs great, looks great and battery last me a long time.
all you need is rom manager you can get it from play store. But if you just want
To change some icons and boot screens and things like you can use rom toolbox.
Also at play store.

You'll get lot of help in this form from a lot of talented people
