Well, the main problem I have is that I don't get internet access at home wifi even though it show full connection after the update to Gingerbread, the router I have is the Speedtouch 585 (Which I've heard doesn't function very well with the Gingerbread update). My handset is on 2.37.720.3 which I guess makes it a branded one, it was bought new and unlocked from eBay and the seller if I remember correctly was located in Singapore. I'm not sure what branded actually means but my phone doesn't look like it's marked by any courier or is that even what branded means?
Getting back to the actual problem, my home wifi used to work fine on Froyo but now on Gingerbread it doesn't, I've tested the wifi at my two of my friends houses which have Speedtouch routers and it worked? Also tested it at hotspots with success. I have been manually looking for updates the last week hoping to get the wifi fix update without any luck, which is probably due to my handset being branded. I've tried to use a static IP but it didn't work maybe i did something wrong, but anyway thats my problem all lined up and by the way i live in Iceland if that makes any difference :p

Thanks in advanced

Jonas

I'm also under the impression that it's an issue with compatibility between GB and the firmware in some routers.

What's actually happening? Is it just not connecting, or can you connect to the network and it drops?

I turn on the wifi get full signal but there's no internet access but if I go to the Gallery and into connected media I can see the media servers that are running in my house. So the wifi works and I can access other computers in the house but there is no internet access all the pages just time out even though it's showing full connection
