Hi all,

I just got an Optimus V and switched service from Tmobile. So far, it looks like it was a good move. I've been lurking for a couple of days, and found a lot of helpful ideas from this board already, so thanks!

The best thing I found so far: the Quick Settings app. I love the ability to make the phone a wifi hot spot. Saves me the $25/month charge from AT&T on my iPad. I can now use VM's 3G to connect the iPad, like I'm doing right now. How great is that?:)

Welcome,that is a neat feature,but be careful using it,it is against,the terms in Virgin mobiles policy,i have only used it a couple of times when out to connect my ipod touch 4th gen,at home no need,my wifi is screaming fast,thank you Verizon for having Fios available in my area.i also found a lot of good info on these boards,and am very pleased with the price and this phone.
 
Thanks for the heads up. I kind of figured that. I'll use it mostly for emergency use on the iPad. I have wifi at home as well, so no need to use it there. Also, in a real pinch, I can activate the 3g on the iPad, but I like saving the money, LOL!
