new htc update

hope someone can help, my daughter has just updated her Desire S with the new update this evening and the phone now is sooooo slow, especially the texting....and what is usually a good signal it now drops off....it also takes a while to switch back on.....any help would be brilliant! (any instructions in plain and simple easy enough for dad to do would also be helpful )

Try a soft reset. Power off the phone > Remove battery for 30 seconds > Replace and power on.

If that doesn't help, post again and include the name of the service provider for the phone, in case other people are experiencing similar problems since the update.

I'm on Orange and after my update the phone was very slow.

After turning it off then on again it improved a bit and then a short time later I noticed that it was lightning quick (possibly quicker than before the update)
