There is a very small icon with an open topped circle amd a heart inside. New to me.

It's this and I can't remember what it is. I was thinking digital well being at first but that has a different logo.

oh that....it is the digital well being icon. why it is under the google icon, i do not know.

Not sure why it would be there either. Maybe you can check under settings > digital well being and parental controls and see if something is maybe turned on?
