My instructions and download links are for stock non rooted phones using the phones own recovery options. Second this IS the OTA and you will DEFINITELY receive any future updates using this method or any other STOCK update method .
While I can understand your assumption, this update could easily and most probably push you off the OTA track. Just because you can run it on a non-rooted stock phone, doesn't necessarily mean it's official. As Motorola develops the OTA they make beta versions available on a limited basis. These versions will not match stock versions and will not include the proper update server information (since they are pulling their updates from different sources.)
When the official OTA is released, it is quite possible that someone will post a download link along with manual update instructions which work exactly the same way as this update. The problem is that if you have this update installed, it will never look at the correct OTA servers and even if you point it in the right direction, the version won't match so it will not pass verification.
Now, it may be possible, when the official OTA is released, to re-update manually using the file for the official OTA version which should put the phone back on the OTA track. I'm sure you will be able to find it when released. It is also possible that you will have to put your phone back to a stock previous version to to update to the official OTA.
In any case, it's like Kelmar pointed out. Not something your average Joe (or Jane) should be doing with the idea that it's without possible consequences.
I have flashed many a leaked update on my phones (stock unrooted and rooted with custom roms) you never know exactly how it's going to effect the official path. And, while it may be true that flashing these updates isn't rocket surgery, I have quite a few friends who freak even at the thought of updating the OS, let alone trying a leaked version.
