I may not agree with what you say, but will defend your right to say it.

I am not quite comfortable posting my ip e.e

I wasn't asking to post your IP, sorry for the misunderstanding. Good move though, don't go around posting your IP. I understand that IPs are dynamic so I thought that's why it's different. Seems like that's not the issue though.

Just wanted to share this. I was running a speed test and noticed that it said T-mobile as my ISP. So of course I ran a differnt on to verify. Hopefully this means that things are rolling thru BakersHELL.

My ISP and ORG both say T-Mobile USA, but Network says MetroPCS

Running Speed Test today it read TMobile on the first 2 lines for the first time. When I ran it yesterday all 3 lines read MetroPCS. And my IP changed as well.

Have you checked your Phone details lately? You may have received your network update.. possibly even a partial update (Only TMobiles version) & that may be why.. if so your phone details would now say ZVE instead of zvc, zvb, or zvd.. Compare each phone. Only curtain phone were effected but if the update wasn't received than you should've gotten a voicemail from metro stating to come into a local Metro Store & go online to read the details.. Hope that helps

He doesn't have an issue plus his phone is one of the ones that don't need an update. ZVE is for the Esteem

Seeing different subnets here in NY as of today for both external and internal IP. These have always been the same even on my old 1x phone (went and checked old speedtest results), but as of this morning they are now different.

I'm currently using USB tethering on my Motion and I noticed that my IP has changed. When I looked up the location of my new IP, I noticed that the ISP now says T-Mobile instead of MetroPCS. Does this mean that the merger has started already?

Merged thread into here and yes yes it has started we've discussed it above ;)

Does this mean that we'll be getting faster 4G?

This is a quote from official news from the MetroPCS website -
"You might ask, "What happens to my MetroPCS
service?" We believe your service will only
improve as we continue to grow. The reason so
many of our customers choose MetroPCS now
is the unmatched value we provide. Going
forward, using T-Mobile USA's network, we will
continue to improve on our "best deal in town"
promise of delivering our no-annual-contract
mobile services with significant savings."

And these are going to be the benefits -

-More coverage soon with a nationwide 4G
network, and a stronger, nationwide 4G
LTE
network coming later this year.
-More choice with access to a wider selection of
the latest and greatest 4G smartphones and
more features and services that will enhance
your mobile experience.
-More value with simplified, affordable rate plans
with taxes and fees included, but without the
need for an annual contract.
-More resources to deliver the highest quality of
service.
