this will replace the music app installed on the phones already? or create another app in the app drawer?

anyone tried this on Liberty yet?
 
Where is my damn podcast integration?

WHY MUST WE USE SEPARATE APPS TO MANAGE OUR PODCASTS?

It makes my Bluetooth sad :(
 
works on liberty. with lockscreen controls. haven't fully battle tested it yet, but it seems ok. this does not replace anything its a new app in the app drawer
 
It creates a new app in the app drawer. And YES, it works fine on Liberty.
Thanks for the heads up, acidbath! It's much better than the stock music app.

This seems like a less sleek sense music app with a few more features.... Liberty just needs fm support and it will be great.
 
Thanks for the link. Been using it for a while...what are the improvements in this over the old music player? I haven't really noticed anything significant other than a different interface. And yeah, the widget is way uglier than the old one unfortunately.

Liberty has FM support. I'm using the blur fm radio and its working great. However, the new music app will not let me pick up the stations I want. The blur fm app does. So I removed it for now.

I use either Astro or Installer from the market but they will allow you to install apks. Just make sure you have the unknown sources option checked from your settings:

Menu - Settings - Applications - Check Unknown Sources

I like the lyrics integration and it will download album art too.

OK maybe album art isn't so great. It's putting "Slow Motion Daydream" art on ALL my Everclear albums.

Music Maps! Cool and kinda scary. World map lets you see WHERE people are and what they are listening to right now. The WHERE is VERY accurate. I'm on WiFi at home and it's got my icon sitting right on top of my home! Yikes
