New Lenovo vs prime

If the specs of the Lenovo Tablet are true, I'm definitely buying that one. I mean seriously 2GB of DDR3, that's absolutely amazing.

Damn those are some good specs. But levono is communist lol! I'm now like the poster above said and i'm torn now. Those specs are awesome but I really want that keyboard that the prime is going to have. I would use the tablet for school work and notes in college and that keyboard is so crucial to me.

Hopefully there is some keyboard type thing for the levono. The question would be how to hold up the tablet while typing on an external keyboard.

Those are nice specs but it looks like once again the Lenovo keyboard dock will be a folio case or desktop docking stand, not a true keyboard+touchpad attachment.

Since I want the true keyboard attachment I will be getting the Prime.

I think I'll stick with the Prime, simply because I hate waiting for software updates and Asus has an incredible record with releasing updates very quickly for their devices.

I'm not torn. The Lenovo is thicker, heavier, and has no keyboard attachment like the Prime. Sure 2gb of RAM is nice, but the keyboard dock is worth the tradeoff for me.

Sort of torn. If the new Lenovo tablet has a better screen for note taking, I will consider it.

i'm not sure if any of you have used the newer chicklet (island/mac book) style keyboard from lenovo, but it's hands down the best i've ever used. I have the lenovo x100e "netbook" and despite it not having a full size keyboard i would rather type on that than any thing else.

I've never used the OG transformer (or prime obviously) keyboard dock but i'd be willing to bet that the lenovo keyboard folio is better. The only thing you'd really be missing would be the extra battery life, but if you're looking at the merits of keyboard i would give the advantage to lenovo

my $0.02

looks great BUT don't we always do this........make up our mind then BANG! next fawesome product announced and its back to decision making.

the cycle of tech.

i'm never a buyer of v1.0 tech so get the PRIME and wait and c what lenovo does with the next gen tablet they release.

although i am eagerly awaiting a prime review for sure!

If both live up to specs and expectations, nothing except $$$--a serious consideration for many--says we have to choose between them; the more toys, the better.

the biggest factor that has me swaying is not the fact that the new lenovo tablet is supposed to have twice the ram but that it is going to have DDR3 RAM as opposed to the DDR2 RAM that is in the transformer prime...

Is there an app like VLC Player (for computers) that allows you to play virtually any type of video file? If so...then the Lenovo is the one for me.

I seriously don't think that 2gb of ddr3 will perform any better on the android platform. There will be no difference. I would venture to say that Lenovo is putting 2gb of ddr3 in this tab just to draw attention to their bigger/fatter offering. imho.

You know, I should make the point that ASUS scored big with the first Transformer. This second one will squash it. Additionally, keep in mind that ASUS has been updating the Transfromer one like mad and will continue to do so. That kind of support is amazing in a manufacturer and I don't see that "proof" from Lenovo. I also think ASUS has superior customer service to most companies.

I was in Bestbuy the other day looking an Android tablets, the sale rep told me of all the Android tablet, the Asus sell the most.

Higher resolution is more tempting than 2gb ram. I trust Asus more, and I want the extended battery life keyboard.
