Root New LG Connect

Just bought the LG Connect 4G, upgrading from the Samsung Admire.
Before I root it, is there anything I should do before I mess with it?
Also, I noticed LG Connect users use ROM manager to install CWM.
I need some help with this, I've rooted/flashed every ROM available for the Admire threw using the ODINS/CWM.
What Im trying to say is...
I need some pointers on how not to mess up my Brand new LG Connect.
Is there anyway I can backup, just in-case I have to send my phone in?
Should I use ROM manager or is there an ODIN to get CWM on there?
It came with version MS840ZVA fresh out of the box, will I have any problems rooting it? (before bricking)

Should there are guides just search the fourms as far as odin our phone has a similar thing useing lgs mobile software and putting phone into download mode? ( volume up and down on power up) you can make a back up using rom manager and after flashing cmw if you search the fourms 'cough' hint hint 'cough' you can find shappys script to help but its always advised to make backups before any and everything ..... hope I helped

Cool, didn't know you could back up ROM using rom manager, as on the Samsung Admire you coundn't do anything

Thanks for your input. I didn't want to make the same mistake twice, as I didn't backup my original ROM on Admire.

You can't backup with ROM manager THEN install cwm because ROM manager uses cwm
