Help New maintenance update EVO 3d 08-26-11

This morning I got an Application Updates Notification.

HTCAddProgramWidget (Update)
SPCSCORP4G (Update)

anyone know what this is? Last monday I updated to 2.3.4.
 
Did anyone notice an increase in speaker volume after this update? (some other folks reported that) - I don't see the update yet (tried manually), so can't confirm.
 
I've done it. Very small, as reported. Two separate downloads.

Added later: the rest of the info here was well intentioned but wrong.....

The only Widget I see that I hadn't noticed before is identified as an Android Widget, it is called "txt msg away message". It's a little 1x1 widget of the green robot either standing alert or sleeping with "zzzzz" coming from him. When you click on it, it switches between them and tells you "text away message on" or "off". I haven't tried it, but I assume when activated it responds to texts with a message that you are occupied. If you open it in applications, it gives an opportunity to input a custom away message.

It may be that this was here before and I'd missed it, but I don't think so. Apologies if I'm misreporting. I suppose it might have been installed with Android 2.3.4, and I just didn't notice it till I went looking for a new widget.

I can't tell anything about the other update, but I don't have a corporate email account on my phone, and seldom use 4G. So that may not be surprising.

Again, I'll dine on crow if this has been here for a few days and I just didn't notice it till now.
 
Well I can tell you I don't have the the update, so I checked to see if that app is there and it is not.

Ok - got it.

Go to a 1x1 free on your desktop, select HTC widgets, you now have 81 instead of 80 - the new one is called Corp 4G.

I don't have 4G, so I'm not sure what it might do.

While we're here - what's up with the Sprint wallet (Sprint Mobile in the app drawer)? Has that always been there?

I have a sneaking suspicion earlymon is right. I am not going to eat crow yet. But I'll drop by the store and pick some up on the way home so it will be on hand if needed.

Added later: I just checked my Amazon Apps, and this app is among them with the same widget. I will dine on crow tonight.
 
So i just downloaded the brand new maintenance update for my EVO 3d and i noticed there was no reboot required and one of the 2 updates listed that installed were Sprint corp 4g....well if u search under widgets after update you have a widget that has Sprint 4g then a small divider with corp 4g below on 1 widget u can place it on any screen.. but it seems as if It's disabled!? It won't work no matter how many times you click it?! Any info on the general purpose of this update would be appreciated I'm very curious :-) thanks lol

Yes, the Sprint Wallet has always been there. I confirmed on my phone (have not done this or the other recent HTC update yet).
 
I keep getting a "temporary space full" error message that says maybe I need to restart the phone when I try and download it. I have tons of space (32gb SD card), space on the phone (more than half is open), and I have tried removing all my widgets and stopping all tasks...nothing works, resets, nothing...

What is going on? The only thing that isn't stock is my SD card. I read another forum with a few people saying they had this problem to with no answers.

Please help!

I am running sense 3.0, no launchers, no rooting, none of its...straight evo 3d as HTC intended.

Try doing a factory reset, wipe dalvik cache?
 
There's a temporary cache that clears on restart of the phone, as I recall.

If that doesn't work, try a battery pull to clear any stuck bits.

After that, all I can offer is that MyBackup Pro eases the pain of a factory data reset.
 
Now I am confused, is this an HTC app/widget update or a HTC maintenance SW update, I didn't get it because I had the OTA updates disabled, is it safe to download if we are rooted, or best not too?

That widget came with the last update. I still have not updated to this new one yet today. But that widget does nothing. Does it do anything with this new update? I am referring to the Corp 4G widget.
