Help New market available!

On left side, just under "Allow automatic updating" check-box is "Rate and Review".
Click that and you're away.
It's not easy to find if you're used to a phone or PC

Can you explain further? When I touch the Market (Version 1.0.28) icon, it opens to the Apps title page. There is a pull down on the upper right that has:
Accounts,
clear search history,
Purchase history
app content filter
help
contact us

It's none of these...

When I touch "My Apps", I get a list of Installed apps.
The pull down on the upper right now shows:
Notify about apps update
add shortcuts for new apps

It's none of these either..

Each installed app is listed in a vertical column down the left side. The Allow automatic updating is shown in the center of each app description. There is no Rate and Review listed anywhere that I can see.

What am I doing wrong?

(The applications tab in settings lists market feedback agent and market updater, but they are both 0.00B....)

Thank you!

I never did figure it out ... if I really want to review an app I go online on an actual computer (market.android.com)

You don,t seem to be able to access rate & reviewfrom My Apps, which does seem crazy.
Instead you have to search in market for the app you want to rate.
It should show as "installed" and then rate and review option is below allow automatic updates

Actually, I just checked it out and in My Apps, tap the app you want to review in the list on the left. Then tap the picture icon for the app, near the open and uninstall buttons. This takes you to the market page and saves you doing the search

I have to admit that this was my first option too. But the more I used my tab, the less I liked waiting for my laptop to boot up and figured there had to be a way to do it in Honeycomb.

This does not work on my Acer. Tapping the picture icon for the app ( near the open and uninstall buttons) does nothing.....

???

Do you have Market Version 1.0.28 or something else?

From "settings", "applications", "manage applications" market is listed as 1.0.2.8. Android version 3.2 .

I'm totally with you on that ... I'm definitely finding myself going to my laptop less and less. It's big :o, it has to be plugged in (old battery), and it's cumbersome to lay in bed with it! :D

I'm on version 3.3.11 of the market app. I'm stock un-rooted.

Are you sure you're on version 1.0.28. That seems a fairly old version.

It's the same version I have ... and I have the same issue. Where you describe the "rate it" button ... is just a space ... no button.

Market version 3.4.4 now available! Simply update the tablet via the software menu.

Based on your post I woke my tablet up to check it out and was greeted with a System Update Available message! Under 9 M ... with a version number 7.014.01 ... whatever that means.

Yes, I can now rate apps directly on the tablet ... but Kenji57 was right ... search for the app in the market and the option to rate it is now available. For some reason the option isn't in the "My Apps" area ... how weird!

Also ... with this latest update now EVERYTHING wants to update! I had 19 applications that want to update  No updates were requested as of last night!

Here's a link to a review of the new [market app] (3.1.5) to show you how it should look.

Ummm, my A500 has Market version 3.4.4. And the updates (last week or
the week before) seemed to be about 3 different updates in a row. I recall
the same or similar when I first got my A500, and it updated on first power
up.

Maybe Market version 3.4.4 was part of one of those extra updates
(which, btw, did NOT show up automatically---after the first one
finished, and I was hoping for ICS, I did a check to see if another
one was ready...it was (and after that, the firmware version was
changed, too). After that, repeat, new release again, and another
new firmware version. After that, repeat, no new update, and no
ICS yet (obviously).

[EDIT: I should have read the next post before replying to the one I
did...it says exactly the same thing. Sorry 'bout that.]

Yeah, but isn't it great how FAST the updates go with the A500? :-) Now,
when my phone (Motorola Bravo MB520) needs updates, and won't do them
manually, I dread having to sit and wait for one, then the next, and so on (they
won't download in parallel, and the "Update n" (or is that "Start n"?...
whatever) doesn't always work. On my A500, hit the Update n and watch
'em zip along blindingly fast..... :-)
