new market ui

I'm under the impression you can only get the new market thru rooting or the OTA gingerbread update. (Someone correct if i'm wrong.) The roll outs for gingerbread started sometime last week so you should expect it soon if you still haven't received it yet.

I actually prefer the new market. I don't currently have it, but I am going to install it again. If you are on the old version (not Gingerbread) on your X2, there is an APK that can be found by googling. I had it installed prior to installing rooted Gingerbread and really enjoyed the look and feel. That said, I am not certain if the APK floating around works with Gingerbread, which is why I haven't tried to install. I guess I can be the guinea pig. Maybe I'll try later tonight.

It was bizarre, my Market didn't change with the GB update but Market crashed today and came back with the new look.

I actually like the way it looks and the layout, it was a little confusing at first but it almost reminds me of the wm7 layout or something, which I always personally liked

It came to me automatically today (even though I'm rooted, so I guess that doesn't matter). I'm happy about that as I find it much better than the old market.

The new market was rolled out to accommodate the growing options for purchasing Google Books & Movies.

If you want to change accts in the new market go to the market menu/accounts & you can switch from there. Keep in mind your apps that you purchase are locked to the acct you purchase them with & there is no method for now that will let you port them to another acct.

I still haven't seen this new market. I am getting the same old green and white market I always had.

That's just it, there is no accounts option on the Market menu. That's why I asked what version is being discussed here. I thought I read that version 2.3.5 had this option and I even believe I saw it...briefly. Now I have 2.3.6 and the option is gone.

Nevermind. I downloaded from the link above and now I have 3.0.27, with the Accounts option.
