Help New Market Update

...has anyone got the new Android Market update working on their Milestones?

....the above thread is Droid Life's story and link. I believe the update is supposed to be for 2.2 phones and up...but apparently its working on 1.6 and up..

Worked fine for me on GOT 2.2. I am not sure however I like it. It is not as good as the official market because of some color issues and update process, where all the buttons are placed in inconvenient locations

What I found out in the process of installing this is interesting though.

GMail app was updated just a few days ago and when I send the *.apk file to install the Market I opened the email on my phone and noticed there is now a button that lets you install the *.apk. I clicked on it and it worked as a charm.

I've just flashed with GOT 2.2.1 and installed the apk fine.. When I tried yesterday with the stock 2.1 it failed however.

I just opened it in Astro and hit 'upgrade' and it's worked straight away..
