New Market

Has anyone noticed a drastic drop in battery levels since the new market came out? I won't use my phone for anything all day, and by 3:00 or 4:00 it's almost dead. I've noticed that you can't set it to not check for updates. Maybe that's the problem? I hate it. Anyone know of any way to go back to the old one?

My battery hasn't been draining anymore really, it's actually been alot better. What do you mean you can't not have it check for updates?

The Android market does not check automatically for updates unless you've hit the check box for "Install Updates Automatically" on specific apps. It will only check for updates when you actually get into the Market app itself.

Ok, I'm thinking (hoping) it wasn't the market that was draining my battery. I checked my running apps and found some things that I didn't want running. I hope that was the problem. Also, Google Talk was set to be running in the background and I disabled it. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Ok, I found out what was doing it. Background data was checked to be on. I thought I had it off. Oh well, seems to be doing better now.
