Hi new friends,
I have just bought my first android, and although I'm not having any real problems yet, but not being very technically/electronically? minded thought it would probably be a good idea to find a site like yours for when I need some help.
Meanwhile, I plan to browse and learn, if thats ok

i want to ask if how to put games in my gt-p1000 v2.3.3 i have apk files and i already put in my SD card but when i go to to the manage application all apk files doesnt show, my sd card is show nothing,,., can you help me how to put games in my tab?

Welcome to the AndroidForums, jarrid.

You'll likely need to enable "Unknown source" in Settings -> Applications.

Then, using a file manager like Astro, navigate to the directory on your SD card where your .apk files are stored, short-press the filename and press the "Open App Manager" button--which will take you to a screen for installing the .apk files.

Also, make sure that your SD card is mounted to your phone from the Settings -> Storage -> Mount SD card option.

Hey everybody just joined android forums...got a sweet sgs2 coming off a bb 9750 which I went back to after a month with a iphone 3gs. Rooted my phone to get it on rogers in my area(ottawa). Had problems with the battery life until I figured it out...my wifi was on 24/7 cus of this hidden program called wifi sharing...used my titanium back up app to delete the software and boom great battery life.. Hope this helps any similar problems.also it does not affect tethering .
