New music player

Hello, I have a ? When you upgrade to 2.3.4 on Atrix you get a new music player ( which is great ) but you get internet radio also whit all kinds of stations. What I want to know is when you play them without wifi does AT&T charge you for data useage? My daughter has a Samsung Android phone with a radio on hers and she don't have to pay data useage I was just wondering since it's on the music app now. Thanks

If you are playing mp3s then no data usage. If you are using one of the internet appear then it does use data. Your daughters phone might have a built in FM radio, which works like a normal radio.

When you play internet radio it uses data. As long as you dont go over they shouldn't charge you anything extra. Keep a eye on how much you use by dialing *3282# ones in a while.
If you have a unlimited plan you have nothing to worry about.

or you can get the Watchdog 3G lite app from the Android market.
I have it on my Atrix.

I might have more tools than I need. For now, i'm just using it to track the amount of data I use per-billing cycle.
It even allows you to set your billing cycle date to accurately meter the amount of data transfer that goes through your phone.

Also has a widget to install on your home-screens which also displays a percent-used value. Quite useful to keep a mindful eye on data consumption.
