Help New note 2, questions

Got my Note 2 and have been using it for a 2-3 weeks. I love it and everything works great. I've got great battery life even with the updates.

There are a few things I have not figured out that are more preference things that phone issues. It probably has more to do with settings which I can use some help.

When I wake the phone by pressing the power button it defaults to the last screen the phone was on. I would prefer it went to the first home screen. Sometimes it open up in the last application I was using or on the web page I was viewing when I was last using the phone. Where do I set it to open only on the phones first home screen?

When I open the browser it opens on last page viewed. I'd like it to open to Google or whatever I have set as my home page. I've tried the default browser and chrome.

Lastly I'm looking for good applications and games for the s-pen. In particular I am looking for a really good task list, would be great if it had g-task integration

wake the phone up using the Home button instead of the power button and u will go to the default home screen.

If you use the Boat Browser, (and several others) and you use it's exit button from the menu you have the option of clearing the history and the cache as you exit.

I've noticed this as well.
I think it changed in the last update because power button would always open to where I left off and home took me home.
Now home and power are doing the same thing.
Double tapping home button will get you to your home screen.

The power button is just to put the screen in timeout, so if you don't go back to a home screen it's going to wake up where you left off. The home button takes me home which is home screen. If I'm doing something on my phone like texting and I get distracted by something I press the power button, so when I'm done I can press the home or power button to continue with what I was doing. Just pressing the power button doesn't take you to home screen is what I'm trying to say, you need to close out what you're doing.

I came here looking for the same wake/unlock answer. Found it myself by chance. If you swipe up or down, it seems to go to either the search app, or the default e-mail app for me. If I swipe to the side (in portrait alignment) it goes to the normal home screen (or last home screen you were on rather).

Had my GN2 for two days. Love it. Good luck with yours.
