Help New Owner Here

Greetings from Georgia, As the title said I'm a new owner of a Commando, retired the Ancient One (also a GZone). I searched for this and the guys at Verizon were no help, when I plug into my desktop it shows new hardware but I can't find any software for it to recognize the GZ. Maybe it won't/can't do this I don't know. What I'm wanting to do is transfer some music and ringtones I have already. Any help (or letdown) is appreciated. These things look so easy to do when in someone ELSES hands LOL

When it is plugged in, go on your phone and change it to the mode that makes it a portable drive or hard disk. I don't remember exactly what it is called.

also, i had trouble getting the drivers installed from the phone, had to install them from sources around the net. it would go into the cd mode briefly, start autoplay, then switch to file transfer(MTP) mode and screw the driver install...

Settings > USB, Make sure "Ask on Plug" is checked. When you plug in the cord it will either pop up with a choice of 3 modes or you can flick down from the icon at the top of you screen to bring up the choices. You'll want "Media Device". Works on PC but not sure on Mac.

4 modes, its supposed to act like a cd rom the first time you plug it into any pc, install the drivers and then move to mtp. it doesnt do this well.

What a waste of money and time, Verizon Store Guys says "just look for software on the internet", did that and NOTHING will load and install correctly, IS showing on phone as a media device, hardware wizard shows new android device but cant find any software (even an "INF" patch won't work),:banghead: Casio pdf owners manual says plug it in and use PC to work with music files - HOW when it doesn't recognise it. I'm close to just throwing in the towel, turn it off and go back to my old phone and eat the loss as it isn't doing anything that I wanted it for in the first place - phone and music device/player :mad::mad::mad::mad:

If you're having issues with drivers etc, take a look at Airdoid.

You install the app via Play and as long as your handset is connected to same wireless network as your PC, you can transfer content via your web browser.

Not ideal, but at least it would allow you to put your music etc on there.

Reply 3rd try, all "ancient" stuff here with hardwired modem, new router for WIFI for new phones, all the music is on the Commando and can't/haven't found a way to work with it, been at this for 4 days now and nothing but failed software installs
