Root new perm root method?

hey guys im new to the evo shift since i just got the phone a couple of days ago and have been researching how to root it and just dont really feel comfortable doing it the long method and found this video on youtube....i was wondering if any of you all have tried this method if not is there someone brave enough out there to try it?

Sorry couldn't see the video when on my phone. But that is actually what I tried (after giving up doing it manually)
But yeah I tried it and it works. First time you have to click root, then no. Then when its done pushing the files to the front, you click root then yes. It will do the rest for you.
 
Sweet, thanks man...so u dont need to download any files besides the root app shiftRR right?.....do i need to have usb debugging on when connected to pc or anything like that?
 
Well when I did it, it didnKt require anything. I'm not sure if you need USB debugging on, but I still had it on anyways.

They are all on there.
I wouldve gave you a direct link but I'm on my phone again and that would take a while.
But xda has everything on there.
(Hard to get a reply on there forums though)
 
Yea i know of xda but just wanted to see if there was one i didnt know of, thanks tho i appreciate u taking the time in replying
