Help New phone came, plugged in, charged already?

So, my new replacement came, i plugged it in, and the green light came on in a little under an hour.

HOW CAN THAT BE?

It is new, it was ordered three weeks ago, and it came with the battery and back in the box.

Did you plug it in with the wall charger? If so, it charges pretty quick. My Inc will charge from near dead in under two hours with it. Since it ships with 50% charge, it's very reasonable for the first charge to be done in about an hour. Mine probably took a little while longer because I was messing with it the whole time.

yes, wall charger in an APC surge protector surge only slot.

so can the 8 hour charge protocol and go to town? lol.

Yep. That "8 hour first charge" nonsense is a holdover from older types of batteries (like NiCd or NiMh). They just copy and past pretty much the same instructions for devices and no one with a technical background bothers to set the people writing the manuals straight.

USB takes forever, but charging by the charger is REALLY fast. I love it.

I realized that when i use the usb charger, it charges a full 100% versus the 90% with the wall. could have been already discussed, just dont have time to read all posts like some users

I agree the wall charger is wicked fast. The usb charge method is terribly slow, might as well be trickle charger lol. The car charger is somewhere in the middle.
