Help New phone with uneven backlight and ...

Hi, all,

I just got the phone. But even before activation, I already saw a few
issues:

1. The display is uneven. If it shows white screen, I
can easily see the upper side (up right position) looks yellower than
the lower side. It is fairly obvious.
2. When viewing any web pictures, they look a bit yellowish across the
whole screen. This is the case even with bightness turned to max.
But more obvious when turned to middle.
3. Connected to WIFI at home, but it keeps dropping from time to time
(10-20 min interval) even without turning of LCD. My other mobile
devices never did that (laptop, tablet, etc).

Can anyone tell me if your phone shows anything like that?

With all your problems the only thing you can do is call up vm and have them send out a replacement you got a bad phone

I just need to confirm if the screen problem is just my individual
phone. So, your phone looks good, not yellow color tint?

If so, I think I can ask for exchange with amazon.

Yeah something is wrong with your phone. if you can noticeably tell right out the box that something seems odd with a phone or any device it more than likely means its defective. you shouldn't see yellow tint on the triumph especially if you just got it and hasn't had a chance to do anything to the phone. so get your refund or exchange for that defective phone.

Based on your input, I may need to get the phone exchanged.

But let me confirm this: the yellow color tint is not very obvious.
But if I compare it with my laptop, or my Acer A500 tablet, it is quite
clear that it has some yellow tint on it. Just like reading from old
news papers.

If you put the brightness of your phone to the medium, can you
get a good white color screen?

Anyone else has comment on the color temperature of the phone?

Please help. I will need get it exchanged soon.

well from what I understand there may be 2 different types of screens. Ones that have a yellowish or whitewashed screen or ones with a blueish tint. I don't know that anyone has one without some sort of tint. Although you may be able to take the stock screen protector off, because that may be a factor in the tinting of your screen.

I am surprised that no one is complaining that the display is color
biased. I don't think I am that picky on the color but, it is noticeable
when you see anything with large area of white background.

I still feel strange that I saw some review that people actually said
the display was really good.

Maybe, I truly got a lemon.

Maybe. But I know for me the screen on mine did look good. Until I got another phone that had a LCD screen that wasn't tinted... Then I noticed how blue my screen was. I think it's more of the coloring of the glass than the LCD though.
