Root New ROM: Phoenix

I recently switched over to a new ROM for my Captivate. Of all the available ROMS out there I had the best luck overall with Cognition. Perception was decent for me, and Assonance & Axura both were a little greedy with battery.

The guy who took over developing on Axura (adamholden85 on XDA forums) released a new ROM recently: Phoenix.

A lot of people come on asking about ROMS and we all weigh-in. I've installed this one (actually version 1. It's up to v1.5) and I have to say my experience has been SPECTACULAR. Great battery, very fast and THE GPS WORKS!!!
I tested the GPS all day today. It locked fast and tracked consistently.

Highly recommended!

i tried it last night and i kept getting force closes on com.android.phone or whatever so i flashed to darky 7.7. it looked nice though

I went to Assonance 5.2 then to Phoenix 1.0 (will flash to Phoenix 1.5) later in the week and I've had no issues with either one. Well except the gps. I've had to do an lbstest mode every time I want it to work properly. Maybe it's my phone.

This new 1.5v of phoenix is jpy based, highly recommended compared to all the roms above that are still using slow beta builds of froyo.
