Root New ROM question?

Hello all, just joined recently, I have my EVO rooted for about a week now and have added a few programs...and I love playing with this damn thing! I'm about ready to dive in and flash a new ROM, and I'm looking at the MikRoms to start with, but was wondering, I am using exchange with my stock ROM to receive emails from work, and they dictate a mandatory security screen lock code to use it....will I still have the capability to use the exchange feature with an aftermarket ROM like this? not sure if email settings would be affected or not? thanks in advance!:)

Can someone move this to the all things root section?

Yes you can use exchange with mikROMS. Anything you can do in stock exchange should be able to be done in Mik. Make sure you nandroid first (checking first three boxes and wimax if available), and then backup any important application data that you cant live without using titanium backup.

Download your rom
Put it on the root of your sd card along with superwipe if you dont have it and a custom kernel if you want it
reboot into recovery
wipe everything except SD card manually at least once
flash superwipe
flash your rom
flash any custom kernel you want (i'd suggest aggressive freedom)
reboot

Set up your phone :)

If theres anything you cant live with, thats what you made the nandroid for, simply restore the nandroid in recovery and its as if you never tried flashing a ROM
