Root New ROM?

Hi Guys,

I'm currently running Virtuous Infinity v1.33.0 Alpha3 and i really like the sense ROMs but it's just a bit laggy. If it wasn't I would want to keep it. Does anyone know of any similar yet faster ROM that I could try?

ral is the man when it comes to Sense based ROM's... I could only suggest Vanilla Android

I just tweaked the "smooth launcher" to ultra smooth was previously on super smooth and it seems to have made it faster. Is that possible as I was just playing around with the Virtuous Tweaks.

Setting the rosie to Ultrasmooth really helps a lot.

If you like Virtuous Infinity, you should really try ViperDHD instead. It is still a bit laggy, but much faster than VI. Basically, it is what a current version of VI would be like.

Another Sense 4 based ROM worth looking at is Sabsa Prime. It is based on Sense 4 Lite with some full Sense 4 features. This is faster than ViperDHD.

I would give on of the Vanilla 4.2 JellyBean ROM a look. They are pretty good.

Can I ask. Does the ROM run directly from the zip? I haven't got enough room to put the new zip on but can I delete the one i'm going to replace or will that cause havoc as I'm still running it atm?

Once you have flashed a ROM, you don't need to keep the zip file on the SD card

When you flash stuff to your phone, you can remove stuff immediately

In fact, I even copy old ROM backups to my computer and remove them, to free up space

sure...I'm on M1 from the first day when is released..and I don't think to use any other 4.2 because they are all the same..but the M1 is the most stable..

but I read today that viper will release JB with sense 4.5..and I will definitely try it..than back to M series

Took the M Series for a spin. Nice and fast... but just restored Blackout ICS 3.2.

viper have OTA, so you can try it with OTA, if the phone said that you are running the latest version, than you don't need to apply this update..

settings-about phone-than search for update (I can't remember, I'm not using sense)

I find JB with sense 4+ quite tolerable on my one x. It's actually the first sense rom I've not been inclined to replace with AOSP.
